Behind the Scenes at Guadalupe Forge...We've made a conscious decision to keep our handcrafted iron business small. We like being able to provide the attention to quality and detail that allows us to enjoy how we make our living. Currently, there are just two of us involved in the production of our wrought iron hardware: owners Rick and Sheri Ross. We are aided in our efforts by our German Shepherd, Omar Bradley, who heads up Public Relations. Many blacksmithing businesses pursue order for custom ironwork, but we don't. Instead, we've always enjoyed the challenge of designing simple iron accessories that we can make consistently well and price reasonably. We choose to sell our iron hardware directly to the public, because we truly enjoy working with the people who will be living with our work in their homes. Currently, we are not able to offer our work at a wholesale price level to other shops or businesses. Our iron work is a blend of traditional hand forging techniques and the benefits of modern technology. Some of our equipment and tools are nearly 100 years old, and some are the latest available. Basically, we use the tools and techniques that help us provide our customers with iron hardware that is thoughtfully designed, well made, and carefully finished, at a price that they can be happy with. We’ve been in business for over twenty years. We take pride in the quality of our hand forged iron, in the strength of our designs, and in the good relationship we have with our customers. We believe that a transaction is not complete until you are pleased with your purchase.
